Is it free?#

Yes. L.O.S Castle is a free, fan-run revival. There's nothing to buy.

How do I play?#

In the L.O.S launcher: sign in, choose L.O.S Castle, press Play. See Getting Started.

Does my old CastleVille kingdom still exist?#

No, sorry. Every kingdom lived on Zynga's servers, which were switched off in 2016. Everyone starts a fresh kingdom here. The history page explains what survived and how.

How does saving work?#

Automatically, every few seconds while you play. Close the game whenever you like.

What is the Royal Treasury?#

The + Add Coins & Crowns button (and the Coins & Crowns tab above the game) opens the Royal Treasury. Staff open it now and then, for events and play-tests. While it's open, it gives you free coins and crowns, up to 30 times an hour: they appear beside your character with the game's own "Purchase was successful!" message, and you click them to collect. While it's closed, the button says so. Watch the announcements and the Discord to hear when it opens.

What works?#

The tutorial, building, crafting, crops and animals, quests and the story, your character and its wardrobe, neighbors (everyone on L.O.S Castle is your neighbor), visiting and helping, gifts and requests, shares with a Claim button on Discord, and three story worlds: Agonia, the Fairy Realm and Return to Jacque.

What doesn't work yet?#

• Trading. Zynga switched off the Bazaar in the game's last release, so it can't be brought back as it was.
• Some story worlds. Their layouts were lost when the servers closed, so only the three above can be played.
• Some pictures are missing because the archive never saved them. We rebuild them when we can.

I found a bug. Where do I report it?#

In the Bug Reports forum or #bug-reports on the L.O.S Castle Discord. Say what you did, what happened, and add a screenshot if you can. The game also reports its own errors to the team.

Is this made by Zynga?#

No. L.O.S Castle is an unofficial fan project and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Zynga. CastleVille and its artwork belong to Zynga.
